Putinovas Bog is a low bog about 8 km south-westwards from Ludza.

Area: 711 ha

The average depth of the peat layer is 1.4 m; the deepest layer is at 2.5 m.

Total deposit of peat: 9.9 mil. m3.

Peat is well decayed; under the peat there is up to 1.5 m thick layer of sapropel. The drainage system dried 324 ha; the area is used for meadows and pasture. The rest of the area is covered with forest, about 127 ha of it were dried with open ditches. The water of the bog outflow to Lake Runtortas by the Paborga River.
