augssniedzinuAugšsniedziņu Lake (Round Sniedziņu Lake) is located in Latgale upland, in Ņukši parish of Ludza municipality. It goes into the group of Sniedziņu lakes.

The lake is in a valley between hills, 157 metres above sea level. It is forked, with gulfs; the shores are sloping. The bottom of the lake is uneven and sandy. It is a running-water lake: the Poganka River flows from Idzipoles Lake, a stream flows to the Kivdolica affluent of Pildas Lake, in freshet time there is also a flow to Lejassniedziņu Lake. It is a eutrophic lake – the level of eutrophication is about 10%. On the lake shore there is reed; there is a forest around the lake. In the southern part there is also peat marsh.

Area: 46.9 ha

Length: 1.55 km, max. width: 0.5 km.

Average depth: 3.6 m, max. depth 6.7 m.

Basin: 12.5 km2 (the basin of the Velikaya River)
