Kurmas Lakes
Kurmas Lakes (Kurma Lakes) are located on the Latgale upland, in Pilda parish of Ludza municipality.
The lakes are located in a hollow and stretch from the south to the north. Small Kurmas Lake has a peninsula in the north-eastern part – it makes 2 coves; in the southern part there is a small island. The shores with coves are high; there are fields around the lake. In the north-west there is a forest. The bottom is sandy, water is clear.
A river flows into the southern part of Big Kurmas Lake; and there is an outgoing flow to the close Small Kurmas Lake and an affluent of the Līdukšņas River flows from it. The lakes are overgrown a little; people go fishing in them. The surroundings are inhabited.

Small Kurmas Lake is 143.5 m above sea level
Area: 59.8 ha

Average depth: 4.7 m, max. depth: 9.4 m.
