Numernes Lake is located on the edge of the Adzeles elevation, in Salnava parish of Kārsava municipality. It is 103.9 m above sea level.

The oval lake is situated in the forest, by marshes. The shores are low and peaty. There are 4 rivers and some ditches flowing into the lake; in the south there is an outflow to the Kokava (Kuhva). The bottom of the lake is even and sludgy. It is a eutrophic, party overgrown. It hosts bream, pike, perch, roach, crucian.

Area: 73.8 ha

Length: 1.6 km, max. width: 0.7 km.

Average depth: 1.5 m, max. depth: 4.0 m.

Basin: 8.3 km2 (the lake belongs to the basin of the Velikaya River)
