Podnieku Lake
Lake Podnieku (Lake Pudņicas) is located in the Latgales upland, in Pureņi parish of Ludza municipality. It is at 142.6 m above sea level.
The lake has a shape of a mushroom. The northern part of the lake is wider and deeper; in the south it is shallow and overgrown with algae. In the centre there is an island. The shores are sloping; the bottom is even and sludgy. There is an outflow by the Bataru stream to Lake Dukānu. It is a eutrophic lake. Around the lake, there is a forest and meadows.

Length: 1.8 km, max. width: 0.3 km.
Average depth: 2.8 m, max. depth: 8.0 m.
Basin: 6.8 km2 (it belongs to the basin of the Velikaya River)
