Lake Šešķu (Lake Zaborjes) is located in the Zilupes plain, in Pasiene parish of Zilupe municipality. It is at 120.5 m above sea level. It makes a pair with Lake Pintu: between the lakes there is Grebļa Hill.

In the west the shore is high (the largest height difference with the level of the lake 36 m; relative shore height is 20 m). Other shores are low and marshy.

The bottom of the lake is even, sludgy. Outflow: the Patmaliešu River to the Zilupe River.

It is a eutrophic lake; the level of eutrophication is 20%. At the south-western part there is a village; there are forests around the lake.

Area: 40.0 ha

Length: 1.6 km, max. width: 0.3 km.

Average depth: 3.0 m, max. depth: 5.5 m.

Basin: 3.9 km2 (it belongs to the basin of the Velikaya River)
